Seven years after the release of “One More Light” and the heartbreaking loss of Chester Bennington, Linkin Park return with their eighth studio album, “From Zero”. This record marks a rebirth for the band, retaining their iconic essence while embracing an evolution evident in both its production and lyrical depth.
From the very first moment, the album sets the tone for this new beginning. In the opening track, Emily Armstrong sings, “From Zero, like from nothing”, signaling that this work represents a fresh start, a redefinition after a period of profound challenges. Chester’s absence is palpable, and his irreplaceable voice and energy leave an undeniable mark. However, Emily brings a fresh vitality to the band, seamlessly transitioning between powerful and serene tones. Her unique style doesn’t seek to replicate Chester but instead stamps her own identity on the record, making the band’s evolution feel authentic and compelling.

i don’t like this music but this is good
I’ve truly loved this new beginning for Linkin Park. The album itself and its content are a solid 10/10, starting with the name From Zero, which clearly references the band’s original name and how they’re starting again. Casualty and Two Faced have become my favorite songs on the album. Emily Armstrong is a very talented singer who brings a unique and special new dimension to the band with her energetic voice. It’s also worth highlighting the work of each band member, as well as Mike Shinoda as a multifaceted musician and composer. ❤️
To finish, this review is very complete and concise. I appreciate how it highlights Chester’s importance in the band, the incredible work he did, and how he was an excellent singer. His voice was really incredible . But this is Linkin Park, From Zero. Excellent review! 🫶
