It’s been four years since Touché Amoré released new music, and now they return with “Spiral In A Straight Line”, one of the most anticipated works in the hardcore/post-hardcore scene this year. With 11 powerful tracks, this record invites listeners to walk, dance, and jump while connecting deeply to its emotional core.
Recorded under Rise Records and once again produced by the legendary Ross Robinson – who previously worked on Lament and has collaborated with iconic names such as KoRn, Slipknot, and At The Drive-In – the production keeps the band’s signature emotionally charged post-hardcore sound intact, maintaining remarkable consistency.

Alongside Robinson, “Spiral In A Straight Line” features two standout collaborations: Lou Barlow from Dinosaur Jr. on ‘Subversion (Brand New Love)’ a track that begins soft and melancholic before surging with energy, and Julien Baker from Boygenius, whose delicate vocal blending in ‘Goodbye For Now’ elevates the song to a whole new level of poignancy.

This album sees Touché Amoré dive deep into everyday routines and emotional reactions, such as the feeling of moving forward in an unsettling world or grappling with grief. Though explored before, these themes are presented here with an even richer blend of vulnerability and dynamism. The record effortlessly fuses melodic post-hardcore and screamo with touches of punk, perfectly meshing their raw, raspy choruses and emotional melodies.

“Spiral In A Straight Line” is not just another addition to Touché Amoré’s discography; it’s a landmark that further solidifies their place in the band’s history.
