Two friends, a promise, and a cabin. Martin and Simon, at the age of seven, made a vow to form a band. Twenty-two years later, they fulfilled that promise by creating AVKRVST and releasing their debut album, ‘The Approbation”. This work was recorded in a small cabin deep within a Norwegian forest. The album, composed of seven tracks, is a conceptual prog rock journey that blends prog rock and prog metal, featuring heavy, melodic, and occasionally aggressive elements.
Simon Bergseth (composer, guitars, bass, and vocals) and Martin Utby (composer, drums, and synthesizers), along with Øystein Aadland on bass/keys, Edvard Seim on guitars, and Auver Gaaren on keys, present AVKRVST’s debut album.
