Kris Barras Band: A Celestial Impact with “Halo Effect”.
In the landscape of contemporary rock, the Kris Barras Band stands tall as a colossus of hard rock and blues rock, not only in Europe but worldwide. Their distinctive sound, a fusion of southern rock, blues, jazz, and country with the vigor of hard rock and blues rock, could deceive anyone into believing they hail from the birthplace of rock, the United States. However, these musical titans come to us from the United Kingdom.
Since their formation in 2015, the band has been climbing the ranks in the rock Olympus with a series of anthems that have resonated in the hearts of fans. The story of Kris Barras, the band’s leader and soul, is worthy of a rock odyssey: an MMA warrior who hung up his gloves in 2014 to pick up the guitar and pursue his passion for music. In 2015, Barras began to materialize his vision in a demo EP, and it was in 2016 when the band released their first album, “Lucky 13”, recorded in Barras‘ personal studio. After touring the UK and leaving their mark at the 37th Rawa Blues Festival in Katowice, Poland, the Kris Barras Band signed with Mascot Label Group and in March 2018 gifted us “Divine And Dirty”, an album that propelled them to the stratosphere of success.

The new album “Halo Effect” unveils with eleven fresh tracks, each embodying the essence of meticulous craftsmanship. The depth of the lyrics resonates with energy, while the clever riffs and eclectic rhythms enhance the auditory experience.

Notably, the pieces ‘Secrets’ and ‘Landslide’ in their piano versions unveil Kris’ magnificent voice, yet it is in their original forms that rock manifests in its purest state.

This pattern of pure, rock-infused energy persists throughout the album with tracks like ‘Savages’ — the lead single —, ‘Waste Away With Me’, ‘Fall To Fly’, and ‘Fear Of Letting Go’.

These songs bear witness to the distinctive and vibrant style that characterizes the production. Barras confesses:

This is the album that I am the most proud of in my career. So much hard work has gone into “Halo Effect”: a lot of attention to detail and constant striving to make sure that I improve and deliver an album that is truly to the best of my ability as both a songwriter and musician.

The tour accompanying “Halo Effect” promises to be a constellation of memorable performances, with confirmed dates in England and the expectation of extending to Europe and America.
